 — LWP FUNDRAISING TARGET for EVICTION FUND: £1,500

PayPal donations received so far:  £1,577.73 (23 July 2012)

Lambeth Women’s Project is in urgent need of money, resources and pro bono expertise. LWP has remained an important part of women’s communities through the hard work and dedication of its numerous volunteers. It’s this support that keeps LWP going.

LWP has faced many struggles over the years, even decades. This is the fate of many women’s services and projects which rarely get the financial support they deserve – and is even more depressing considering the vital grassroots work that LWP does in working with communities of colour, and across racial and class lines, in one of London’s poorest boroughs.

LWP continues because people care passionately about this project and want to see it not only survive, but thrive.

We’re trying to raise money for LWP to pay for the costs of campaigning against eviction (including legal fees) and to pay for an accountant to submit LWP’s updated accounts to the Charity Register.

We’re asking people to donate whatever they can or get in touch if they can donate something on a more regular basis. Our fundraising target for the eviction fund is £1,500. This is just the beginning of a fundraising campaign, and LWP recognizes the need for longer-term fundraising strategies.

You can donate securely through PayPal or transfer money directly to LWP’s bank account using the following details:

Account Name: Lambeth Young Women’s Project

Account number: 17458722

Sort Code: 600336

** Thank you for your solidarity and generous support!  **

N.B. Lambeth Women’s Project is also in urgent need of a solicitor/case worker with regards to the eviction notice. If you can offer any help, please get in touch. lambethwomensproject@gmail.com

  1. I’m getting a “Sorry, an error occurred after you clicked the last link” when I click the donate button – is it my computer or is the link dodgy?

  2. Not working for me either, at 9pm. Oh, but the Paypal button on the left under the LWP logo works. The one under the text of the appeal doesn’t.
